Finance Controller (Joint Ventures)

About the role

The Finance Controller will supervise and control the Finance & Control Division, ensuring all accounting activities align with company policies and support informed decision‑making for ADNOC Drilling.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with government and external auditors, review audit results and ensure implementation of recommendations.
• Monitor cash‑flow forecasts, authorize bank release letters and manage daily bank account reviews.
• Supervise monthly reconciliations, approve debit notes and single payments, and ensure cash availability with the Cash Management Team.
• Oversee funds reallocation, contingency liability preparation, and recovery analysis for management reporting.
• Ensure proper filing, archiving and voiding of returned payments, and provide financial information to internal and external auditors.
• Participate in reviewing financial systems, processes and procedures, endorse user acceptance tests and lead compliance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years progressive experience in a major industrial organization, including at least 3 years at senior accountant or financial controller level.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CFA or equivalent) is an advantage.
