First Officer – Airbus Wide Body

About the role

Etihad is seeking a First Officer to operate its modern Airbus wide‑body fleet from its hub in Abu Dhabi. The role offers a clear progression path to Captain, world‑class training and a tax‑free compensation package.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in all phases of flight preparation, navigation and operation, ensuring compliance with Etihad procedures and regulatory standards.
• Continuously monitor aircraft position, terrain and weather to support safe navigation.
• Provide clear communication and decision‑support to the Captain during flight.
• Maintain high standards of discipline, conduct and personal appearance representing Etihad professionally.
• Assume command in case of Captain incapacitation, following company procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2,500 total flight hours (Criteria A) or equivalent qualifications under Criteria B.
• Valid commercial pilot licence and type rating for Airbus wide‑body aircraft.
• Compliance with Etihad’s general eligibility criteria.
