Food & Beverage Operations Manager

About the role

The F&B Operations Manager oversees and manages the operations of multiple restaurant and café brands, ensuring operational excellence, consistent service standards, financial performance and guest satisfaction. The role leads operations teams, controls costs, improves profitability, maintains food quality and safety standards, and keeps all outlets aligned with company policies, brand standards and business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of all restaurants, cafés and F&B outlets and develop operational strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Monitor sales, food costs, labour costs, operating expenses and outlet profitability, and set operational targets and KPIs.
• Maintain consistent standards for food quality, service, presentation, hygiene and guest experience.
• Lead, manage and support restaurant managers, head chefs, supervisors and other operational teams.
• Conduct regular outlet visits and inspections, identify challenges and implement corrective actions.
• Work with the finance team on budgeting, cost control, sales analysis, stock management and profitability reporting.
• Coordinate with chefs on menu development, portion control, recipe consistency and food costing.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, supplier performance, wastage control and stock variance.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, municipality requirements, health and safety standards and company policies.
• Monitor guest feedback, online reviews and complaints, and resolve them promptly.
• Collaborate with HR on manpower planning, recruitment, training, performance management and succession planning.
• Work with marketing on promotions, menu launches, events and brand campaigns.
• Implement SOPs, operational checklists, reporting systems and internal controls, and evaluate outlet performance.
• Support new outlet openings, operational setups and staff mobilisation, and prepare regular operational reports for senior management and the owner.
