Food Runner

About the role

A hotel belonging to the Accor network, which includes more than 45 brands, 5,500 hotels and 10,000 restaurants, is looking for a Food Runner in Dubai. The role delivers food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately, supports the F&B team during busy periods and requires flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring they are presented to the right table and guest.
• Ensure food is served at the correct temperature with appropriate garnishes and accompaniments.
• Coordinate with kitchen and service teams and communicate special requests, dietary restrictions and allergies to the kitchen.
• Help set up tables, clear used plates and prepare tables for the next guests.
• Monitor tables and help replenish water, cutlery and napkins.
• Maintain cleanliness of service stations, food pickup areas and equipment, and report guest complaints or service delays to the supervisor or manager.
• Learn the menu, ingredients and daily specials, and follow grooming and hygiene standards.
• Handle plates, trays and glassware carefully, support the F&B team during busy periods, and be ready to help in other outlets or on closing duties.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Physically fit, able to stand and walk for long periods, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic English communication skills.
