About the role

Viya, part of wasl Hospitality & Leisure, is hiring a Waiter/Waitress for its restaurant within the Dubai Golf portfolio. The role delivers warm, attentive food and beverage service to all guests, supports a consistent guest experience through accurate order taking and timely service, and complies with Dubai Golf service standards, hygiene requirements and operational procedures. The position reports to the Restaurant Manager, Outlet Supervisor or Captain.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, seat them, present menus and explain dishes, specials and promotions, and take orders accurately, confirming dietary requirements.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, check presentation and accuracy, and handle guest needs and complaints promptly.
• Complete daily service tasks: order taking, serving, billing, clearance, table setup and reset, and outlet preparation.
• Use the POS system correctly for opening checks, entering orders, modifying orders and closing bills.
• Upsell naturally and suggest desserts, coffee, premium drinks, upgrades and meal enhancements.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, ingredients, allergens, beverages and club facilities, and attend training sessions.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards, keep stations clean and stocked, and report spills and hazards.
• Work with Captains, Supervisors, kitchen and bar, and support colleagues during busy periods.
• Wear the correct uniform and grooming, and uphold Dubai Golf's service standards.
• Optional: take part in committees, be trained as a Fire Marshall or First Aider, and follow information security policies.

Required profile

• High school education or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant (preferred).
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Professional appearance, good hygiene, team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Quick learner, adaptable and able to work under pressure.
