Full-stack Engineer, AI Applications

About the role

The Institute Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is seeking a Full-stack Engineer to design, build, and ship AI-powered applications within its Artificial Intelligence and Digital Science Research Centre. You will create end‑to‑end solutions that bring foundation models such as Falcon to enterprise users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement responsive front‑ends and robust back‑ends that expose LLM capabilities to real users.
• Create production‑grade UI components for chat experiences, document workflows, analytics dashboards and admin tools.
• Integrate streaming responses, tool calling, citation rendering and human‑in‑the‑loop interactions.
• Build and maintain APIs, orchestration layers and data flows connecting AI services to enterprise systems and external integrations.
• Own non‑functional requirements including performance, accessibility, error handling and observability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 2–8 years of experience delivering production full‑stack web applications.
• Strong product sensibility and ability to translate ambiguous requirements into polished features.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Frontend: React (or equivalent), TypeScript, modern CSS, state management, component‑based architecture.
• Backend: Python, FastAPI/Flask, REST API design, asynchronous programming, database integration.
• AI integration: experience with LLM‑powered applications, streaming, tool use, conversational UX patterns.
• Authentication & integration: OAuth/OIDC, SSO, role‑based access control.
• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, modern DevOps workflows.
