Full Stack Engineer

About the role

Wonnpay is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join its Dubai office. You will design, develop, and maintain both front‑end and back‑end components of our fintech and crypto payment platform, delivering secure, scalable, and high‑performance solutions in a fast‑paced startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and maintain features across mobile (Expo, React Native, Redux Toolkit, expo‑router) and backend (NestJS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL).
• Write clean, well‑typed TypeScript code and follow the team’s coding guidelines.
• Ship user‑facing features for the Expo/React Native app and the NestJS/PostgreSQL API.
• Build and extend an embedded self‑custodial wallet and manage on‑chain money movement.
• Integrate and harden payment, card, and KYC flows with processing and identity partners.
• Strengthen the platform for scale and compliance (observability, secure secrets handling, webhook signature verification, data migrations).
• Deliver a first‑class experience in five locales, including full Arabic RTL support.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building and shipping production web or mobile applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript across front‑end and back‑end.
• Hands‑on experience with React or React Native (Expo) and state management (Redux Toolkit).
• Experience with NestJS or a comparable Node.js framework and REST API design.
• Solid relational‑database skills with PostgreSQL and ORM (TypeORM or equivalent).
• Practical experience with AWS services (App Runner, S3, Secrets Manager).
• Disciplined Git workflow and a security‑first mindset.
