General Foreman - Civil Construction

About the role

Careers International is hiring a General Foreman in Dubai for civil construction work. The foreman coordinates construction work according to priorities and plans, keeps the site running smoothly through timely communication with the Site Engineer and Project Manager, and supervises workers and tradespeople.

Key responsibilities

• Produce schedules and monitor crew attendance, and allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Oversee materials usage and handling, applying penalties for discrepancies to prevent loss or damage
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople, and recommend cost-effective ways to complete work to specification
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate, and that safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment, and monitor expenditure within budget
• Resolve problems as they arise and report progress to managers and engineers

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of work experience in the UAE as a Foreman
• Overall 8 years of experience as a General Foreman
• Diploma or ITI in Civil Engineering
• Able to read drawings and carry out tasks
• Able to handle and supervise 10+ technicians
