Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic

About the role

The GSE Mechanic provides essential aircraft maintenance support by supplying and maintaining dedicated access equipment and temporary work platforms. The role ensures that all ground support equipment used for Emirates Engineering’s base and line‑maintenance activities is safe, reliable and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supply platforms, stands and access equipment required by base and line‑maintenance teams.
• Perform basic servicing, component replacements and daily safety inspections of all equipment.
• Deploy, adjust and remove access equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and recognised engineering practices.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair and upgrades in line with CAA, DM and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, tidy work site and ensure all tooling remains serviceable.
• Record all activities accurately in the logbook and update the in‑house tracking software.
• Guide and train junior staff on equipment maintenance procedures.
• Notify senior staff of spare‑part and tool requirements to avoid delays.

Required profile

• Relevant mechanical experience with ground support or access equipment.
• Ability to work under the supervision of licensed engineers and follow safety regulations.
• Familiarity with civil aviation authority and manufacturer maintenance standards.

Required skills

• Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance and inspection.
• Use of maintenance and operation tracking software for job‑card creation.
• Basic component replacement and servicing techniques.
