Growth Ventures Internship – Innovation & Strategy

About the role

Join the Umdasch Group Ventures team as a Growth Ventures Intern, supporting strategic growth initiatives across the Umdasch Group. You will work on market intelligence, startup scouting and early‑stage deal support within construction technology and the built‑environment sector, gaining hands‑on exposure to corporate strategy, M&A and corporate venturing.

Key responsibilities

• Support outreach initiatives, meeting preparation and follow‑up with external partners.
• Conduct structured market and sector research on construction technology, built‑environment innovation and selected growth areas.
• Assist in startup scouting, target identification and opportunity mapping.
• Prepare presentations, research summaries and management materials for internal stakeholders.
• Map the external innovation ecosystem, including accelerators, venture funds, brokers, startup platforms, industry networks and academic institutions.
• Monitor industry developments, market trends and relevant startup and technology news.
• Maintain market intelligence databases and track strategic developments across target sectors.
• Contribute to internal business cases, opportunity assessments and strategic reviews.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Entrepreneurship, Innovation Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong interest in growth strategy, M&A, venture capital, startups, technology trends and innovation ecosystems.
• Excellent research, analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to synthesize information into concise insights.
• Proactive, structured mindset, able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• High attention to detail and professionalism; excellent written and verbal communication in English.
