GSE Mechanic – Ground Support Equipment

About the role

The GSE Mechanic provides essential maintenance support for aircraft by supplying and maintaining ground‑support platforms, stands and access equipment at Emirates Engineering Base in Dubai. The role ensures that all equipment used for aircraft repair, modification and line‑maintenance activities is safe, reliable and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supply platforms, stands and access equipment to support various aircraft maintenance and repair tasks.
• Perform daily inspections to verify operational reliability and safety of all ground‑support equipment.
• Deploy, adjust and remove access equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines and engineering best practices.
• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs and upgrades in accordance with Civil Aviation Authority and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work site and ensure all tools are serviceable.
• Record all work activities accurately in logbooks and the maintenance tracking system.
• Guide and train junior staff on equipment maintenance procedures.
• Create and update job cards using the in‑house maintenance software.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, preferably in aviation.
• Relevant engineering trade certificate or 10 years of schooling.
• UAE driving licence is an asset.
