Head of Project Controls (MEAC)

About the role

The Head of Project Controls (MEAC) provides strategic leadership, governance and functional management of the Project Controls function across Wood’s Oil, Gas & New Energies business in the Middle East and Africa region. Reporting to senior business leadership, this role ensures consistent delivery excellence for large‑scale energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the functional strategy for Project Controls across the assigned Business Grouping.
• Ensure compliance with Wood’s corporate standards and industry best practices.
• Develop organisational capability and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide governance and oversight to maintain high‑quality project delivery.
• Enable consistent project performance through effective cost, schedule and risk management.

Required profile

• Proven ability to provide strategic leadership and governance in a project controls environment.
• Experience managing functional teams and driving organisational capability.
• Strong track record of implementing continuous improvement within large, complex projects.
