Head of Quant Strategy – Crypto Funding Arbitrage

About the role

Axiom is seeking a hands‑on leader to build and run an institutional‑grade crypto funding arbitrage programme. You will own the strategy from design through capital deployment, risk management and live PnL, working closely with senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and scale profitable arbitrage strategies across spot, perpetual and funding markets.
• Determine capital allocation, prioritize venues and manage scaling decisions.
• Develop robust risk controls covering leverage, drawdowns, liquidation and exposure limits.
• Optimise execution and capital efficiency across CEX and DEX venues.
• Own live PnL, monitor performance and decide when to adjust or retire strategies.
• Lead and grow the quant team, collaborating with engineering to build a world‑class trading operation.

Required profile

• 7+ years in quantitative or systematic trading, including 3+ years in crypto markets.
• Proven success running funding arbitrage, basis and delta‑neutral strategies with real capital.
• Track record of profitable live trading and clear ownership of PnL and risk metrics.
• Experience in a crypto hedge fund, market‑making, prop‑trading or HFT environment.
• Leadership ability to build and scale a high‑performing quant function.
