Head of Strategic Institutions

About the role

OKX is seeking a senior leader to own and grow relationships with VIP institutional clients such as banks, asset managers, hedge funds, family offices, quant funds and sovereign wealth funds. You will be responsible for originating, progressing and closing high‑value partnerships that generate recurring revenue and reinforce OKX’s credibility as an institutional counter‑party.

Key responsibilities

• Own and expand a Tier‑1 network of C‑suite contacts at the world’s largest financial institutions.
• Carry full revenue target, forecast and pipeline health across all institutional segments.
• Design and execute vertical strategy, balancing long‑cycle bank integrations with shorter‑cycle fund deals.
• Structure, negotiate and close complex commercial agreements, acting as the primary architect of the biggest deals.
• Translate institutional product requests into business cases with ROI estimates and champion them with product and engineering teams.
• Present OKX’s regulatory standing (MiCA licensing, banking partnerships, compliance infrastructure) to client risk and compliance committees.
• Shape OKX’s institutional market narrative and oversee creation of sales and marketing collateral.

Required profile

• 10+ years of business development experience with an active network of C‑suite decision‑makers in banks, asset managers or funds.
• Proven track record of originating and closing institutional partnerships.
• Deep fluency in crypto products, custody models, trading infrastructure, FIX connectivity and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing senior‑level teams and influencing through partnership.
