Heavy Machinery Service Manager / After-Sales Lead

About the role

An experienced Heavy Machinery Service Manager / Industrial Equipment After-Sales Lead is sought to oversee after-sales service operations, equipment maintenance, technical support and customer service. The role requires strong technical expertise in heavy machinery and industrial equipment maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting and service management to ensure equipment reliability, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily after-sales service operations for heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
• Supervise equipment servicing, preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs and troubleshooting.
• Oversee technical service teams, field service engineers, mechanics and maintenance technicians.
• Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, testing and maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and equipment performance issues.
• Handle customer service requests, technical complaints, warranty claims and after-sales support.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and technical teams to resolve equipment issues.
• Monitor service performance, equipment uptime, maintenance schedules and operational KPIs.
• Manage spare parts inventory, service resources and maintenance costs.
• Develop preventive maintenance programs and service improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with equipment safety standards, maintenance procedures and industry regulations.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Proven experience in heavy machinery maintenance, industrial equipment servicing or after-sales service management.
• Familiarity with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, loaders, generators or other industrial equipment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of heavy equipment, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems and electrical components.
