Hostess - The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal is looking for a hostess to welcome guests and manage seating in its dining rooms. The role covers greeting guests, arranging tables and place settings, and keeping the dining areas safe and welcoming.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, find out the size of their party and seat them at a clean, available table, pulling out chairs and placing a clean, current menu.
• Guide guests through the dining rooms and help groups with special needs.
• Arrange tables, chairs and settings, and make sure each guest has a napkin, clean silverware and other items of the standard place setting.
• Check that menus are current, clean, plentiful and wrinkle-free.
• Keep work areas clean throughout the day and monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety and guest well-being.
• Follow company and safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions to the manager, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, keep proprietary information confidential and protect company assets.
• Answer phones with good etiquette, speak clearly and professionally, and build positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
