HR Recruiter – Oil & Gas

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Recruiter to lead talent acquisition for our oil and gas operations. The role involves developing recruitment strategies, managing the full hiring cycle, and promoting our employer brand within the energy sector.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute recruitment strategies to fill open positions efficiently.
• Collaborate with department heads to analyse staffing needs and craft compelling job postings.
• Source candidates via job boards, social media, referrals, agencies and networking.
• Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, coordinate assessments and schedule interviews.
• Promote the company at job fairs, university events and industry conferences.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline for specialised oil‑and‑gas roles.
• Ensure recruitment processes comply with labour laws and internal policies, maintaining accurate records.
• Partner with HR teams on onboarding, training and retention initiatives.
• Utilise ATS and other HR tools to streamline workflows and stay current with recruitment technology.
• Prepare and present recruitment metrics, recommending data‑driven improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) a plus.
• 3–5 years of recruitment experience, preferably in oil & gas or energy.
• Proven success placing technical and specialised roles such as engineers, geologists and field technicians.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance standards in the sector.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for recruitment events or site visits.

• Data analysis for recruitment metrics.
