HR Recruitment Director

About the role

The HR Recruitment Director leads the full recruitment lifecycle for American Hospital Dubai, driving strategic workforce planning, targeted sourcing, and compliance with organisational and regulatory standards. This senior role partners with department leaders to forecast staffing needs and manages both local and international recruitment initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develops the annual recruitment plan based on departmental staffing needs and organisational priorities.
• Leads targeted international recruitment, especially in Western markets, to attract qualified expatriate professionals for Dubai‑based roles.
• Designs and administers job‑specific tests and competency‑based assessments, and builds sustainable sourcing pipelines through global partnerships and employer‑branding initiatives.
• Plans and coordinates interviews, prepares interview materials, and consolidates panel feedback to ensure objective hiring decisions.
• Prepares job offers, communicates employment terms, and coordinates all pre‑employment formalities, including medical examinations and onboarding.
• Supervises Recruitment Specialists, maintains accurate recruitment reports, and supports employer‑branding activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Healthcare Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum eight years of experience in healthcare recruitment, including at least three years in physician recruitment in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Labour Law, competency‑based recruitment, and international hiring practices.
• Fluent in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS/ATS platforms, specifically Oracle.
• Experience designing competency‑based assessments and structured interview processes.
• Ability to lead recruitment teams and manage high‑volume hiring within tight timelines.
