About the role
The HSE Inspector is accountable for creating and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment on construction and landscape projects. The role ensures compliance with relevant regulations, implements effective safety measures, investigates incidents and provides continuous education and awareness to the workforce, helping to prevent accidents and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor work sites and verify that they are safe and compliant with health and safety legislation
- Assist the HSE officer in carrying out his duties
- Minimise unsafe acts and unsafe conditions on site
- Supervise workforce compliance with in-house safety rules and safety standards
- Investigate accidents and complaints
- Inspect equipment and machinery, taking photographs where required, and ensure appropriate protective equipment is available
- Prepare HSE reports and continuously monitor project activities against Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems
- Deliver internal training for workers and perform other duties assigned by superiors
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in occupational health and safety, environmental science, engineering or a related field
