HSE Manager

About the role

Arada is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across its property development portfolio in Sharjah. The role provides strategic and operational HSE leadership for development projects, construction activities and corporate operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Arada's HSE strategy, policies, procedures, standards and management systems.
• Oversee HSE performance across development and construction projects, ensuring compliance with UAE legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and management walkthroughs, driving corrective actions for identified risks.
• Lead investigations of incidents, accidents, near‑misses and environmental events, and implement preventive measures.
• Manage contractor HSE pre‑qualification, monitoring and performance reviews.
• Integrate environmental management requirements, monitor waste, emissions and energy use, and support sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• Professional HSE qualification such as NEBOSH International Diploma or equivalent; additional IOSH, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or ISO 14001 certifications are advantageous.
• 8–12+ years of HSE experience in property development, large‑scale construction or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSE legislation and international standards.
• Proven ability to engage senior management, project directors, contractors and regulatory authorities.
