HSE Manager – Oil & Gas Onshore

About the role

Our client, an EPC contractor on an ADNOC onshore project, is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead and coordinate Health, Safety and Environment activities across the project. The role supports project management and site teams in maintaining effective HSE standards and ensuring compliance with ADNOC requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate HSE activities across the project.
• Support implementation and maintenance of project HSE plans, procedures and requirements.
• Monitor compliance with applicable HSE standards and ADNOC requirements.
• Coordinate with project management, construction teams, subcontractors and other functions on HSE matters.
• Identify, assess and manage project HSE risks.
• Participate in HSE reviews, inspections, audits and project meetings.
• Monitor HSE performance and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Support incident investigation and follow‑up of corrective actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture across the project team and contractors.
• Maintain appropriate HSE reporting and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience in HSE management within Oil & Gas, EPC or major construction projects.
• Previous ADNOC project experience is mandatory.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary EPC project environments.
• Strong understanding of project HSE management and site safety requirements.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with project teams, contractors and client representatives.
• Arabic speaking is mandatory.

Required skills

• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) or equivalent.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification (highly preferred).
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification (highly preferred).
• NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH professional membership, CSP or equivalent advanced HSE qualifications (advantage).
• Previous ADNOC approval as an HSE Manager (strong advantage).
• Fluent Arabic language skills.
