IGW and IPTV Monitoring Engineer

About the role

du is looking for an IGW and IPTV Monitoring Engineer in Dubai to act as technical and process lead for the operation and maintenance of the IPTV headend and middleware networks. The role covers first-level troubleshooting, 24/7 monitoring of IGW, fixed voice and IPTV KPIs, and keeping the team lead and manager informed on incident progress.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily incidents and trouble tickets according to du's operation policies and scope of work.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting and monitoring, and keep the Team Lead and Manager updated with regular progress reports on incidents.
• Maintain relationships with internal teams (business partners, commercial teams, customer operations, IT) until faults are resolved, and monitor vendor performance on incident handling.
• Monitor IGW, fixed voice and IPTV KPIs 24/7 and ensure they meet du network standards.
• Prepare and maintain documentation manuals and diagrams of devices and solutions, and prepare incident technical reports.
• Support new projects and services acceptance from SOC Operations and monitor day-to-day Service Operations Centre activities, including CR logins and logouts.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years of strong telecom knowledge and experience.
• Ability to work in a 24x7x365 environment, handle multiple tasks, prioritize and work under pressure during network crises.

Required skills

• Nokia and Huawei ATCA IGW, SBC and U2000, and NetAct.
• IPTV headend and middleware network technologies.
• Sound knowledge of CS Core and fixed voice networks, with hands-on experience on IGW nodes; knowledge of SIP protocol principles.
• Good knowledge of programming and automation, and of Agile methodology.
• Knowledge of network implementation and integration processes.
