In‑House Legal Counsel – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Legal Counsel will act as the primary legal advisor for an innovative industrial platform operating in the metal sector. Reporting directly to the CEO and with indirect exposure to the Board, the role supports business decisions, manages contractual matters and ensures regulatory compliance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to senior management on corporate, commercial and regulatory issues.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including contracts, MOUs, NDAs and service agreements.
• Monitor UAE legislation and free‑zone regulations, assessing impact and recommending risk‑mitigation measures.
• Support M&A, joint‑venture and other corporate transactions, coordinating due diligence and liaising with external counsel.
• Oversee KYC/KYS procedures, manage litigation/arbitration matters and monitor external legal spend.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law with 6+ years of relevant experience in corporate, commercial and business law.
• Demonstrated knowledge of UAE, DIFC, ADGM and free‑zone regulatory frameworks.
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and risk‑assessment capabilities.
