IT Executive - 25hours Hotel One Central, Dubai

About the role

The 25hours Hotel One Central in Dubai is looking for an IT Executive to manage the hotel's IT plan in line with the group's IT strategy, deliver day-to-day IT support and oversee network and AV services. The role reports on the day-to-day operations of the IT department and liaises with internal and external parties.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the hotel IT plan according to the group IT strategy, using service level agreements and internal quality controls within agreed budgets, timelines and standards.
• Apply group IT guidelines from the Group IT function or the Head of Tech to roll out group-wide hotel systems, operations and enterprise architecture initiatives.
• Assess and update the hotel's IT systems and infrastructure regularly to keep them secure, scalable and reliable.
• Deliver day-to-day IT support to colleagues, including network connections, user access control and hardware configuration, and handle ad-hoc queries from colleagues and guests.
• Investigate escalated end-user problems, identify the root cause and implement solutions.
• Oversee network infrastructure operations, installation and maintenance, including LAN, WAN and interconnect points.
• Manage and support audio-visual services, including meeting room setup, event space readiness and AV troubleshooting, and coordinate AV assistance for VIP guests, conferences and presentations.
• Lead the IT department, motivate subordinates, recommend and implement policy improvements, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environment procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent from an accredited university; a Master's degree is also listed.
• At least 3 years of IT experience, preferably in the international hospitality industry or a recognised blue-chip organisation.
• Good understanding of core hotel operations and the IT needs of global guest information management and loyalty programs.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills and good budgeting and planning skills.

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of key IT processes such as applications, databases and IT support.
• Advanced understanding of ICT and IT security standards.
• Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or equivalent professional certification.
