IT Project Manager - Aladdin Project / Investment

A prestigious, globally recognized financial services organization is recruiting an experienced IT Project Manager at Associate level to join its Technology Department in Abu Dhabi. The role supports a high-performing North America-focused team and covers the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, aligned with strategic goals and compliance with internal policies and industry regulations. The position suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle using the organization's methodology (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), defining scope, objectives, timelines, budgets and KPIs, and tracking progress and dependencies.
• Engage senior stakeholders across business and technology teams, lead cross-functional project teams and communicate updates and reports.
• Manage a portfolio of technology projects focused on application development, data analytics, infrastructure enhancements and enterprise systems, and contribute to transformation initiatives.
• Identify risks, escalate issues and implement mitigation strategies.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, lead procurement (RFP/RFQ drafting, vendor evaluation, contract management) and ensure compliance with procurement, data security, legal and audit standards.
• Maintain project documentation and deliver executive-level reporting and analytics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical discipline (mandatory).
• PMP certification (mandatory) and PMI-ACP or equivalent Agile certification (mandatory).
• 10+ years of IT project management experience, ideally in financial services or investment management, with strong Waterfall and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Demonstrated success delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives within strict timelines and budgets.
• Prior exposure to application development, enterprise systems and data projects, and experience with global teams.

Required skills

• Project management tools such as MS Project, Jira and Confluence.
• Enterprise applications, data platforms, software lifecycle, cloud computing and IT infrastructure.
• Business continuity, disaster recovery, data protection regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
• Experience implementing the Aladdin platform.
• Budgeting tools and financial tracking in a technology project environment.
