About the role
The Italian Sous Chef will oversee the restaurant kitchen at Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai, ensuring safe, smooth, and profitable operations while maintaining high culinary standards.
Key responsibilities
- Organise all kitchen activities, develop and maintain cuisine concepts, and adapt menus to seasonal product availability.
- Achieve budget goals by controlling food cost through proper inventory, requisition, and food pars.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation practices, and asset management, including monthly preventative maintenance inspections.
- Forecast weekly business demand for efficient staffing and production, and supervise team members including hiring and discipline with the Executive Chef.
