Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Rapidscaff is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to join its team. The ideal candidate has good Excel skills, basic knowledge of quantity surveying practices and an interest in learning about scaffolding systems and related cost estimation. Experience of 0-2 years is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing quantity take-offs, measurements and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Prepare and maintain cost estimates, quotations and project reports.
• Use Microsoft Excel to prepare calculations, track quantities and maintain project records.
• Assist in reviewing drawings, specifications and project documents.
• Support the preparation of material requirements and cost comparisons.
• Coordinate with project and site teams to collect quantity and cost information.
• Maintain accurate documentation and help with other commercial and quantity surveying tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Strong numerical, analytical and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and work collaboratively with the team.
• Previous internship or work experience in construction, scaffolding or quantity surveying is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, calculations and data management.
• Basic understanding of quantity take-offs, measurements and cost estimation.
• Desirable: basic knowledge of scaffolding systems and components, and familiarity with scaffolding quantity estimation or material take-offs.
