Kitchen Helper

About the role

A full-time Kitchen Helper in Dubai supports chefs and kitchen staff in keeping kitchen operations running smoothly. The role covers food preparation, cleaning and organizing kitchen areas.

Key responsibilities

• Assist chefs with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, cutting and portioning ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils and equipment
• Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen tools manually or with dishwashing equipment
• Store food, ingredients and kitchen supplies properly
• Help receive and organize deliveries of food and supplies
• Dispose of waste and keep waste areas clean
• Support kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Arrange ingredients and prepare kitchen stations before cooking
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards
• Carry out other kitchen support duties assigned by chefs or supervisors

Required profile

• High school diploma
• Previous kitchen or food service experience is an advantage but not mandatory
• Good verbal and written communication skills with colleagues, management and customers
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions and routines
• Regular, punctual attendance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
