Land Surveyor - Building Construction

About the role

AECOM is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Land Surveyor to join its building construction team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The role involves conducting precise land surveys, site measurements and mapping for construction projects, while ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct land surveys and site measurements using theodolites, GPS/GNSS systems, total stations and laser levels
• Analyze survey data to create site maps, boundary determinations and elevation measurements
• Prepare survey reports and technical documentation using CAD software and surveying applications
• Establish and verify control points and coordinate systems for construction site layouts
• Collaborate with construction teams, architects and engineers to align site preparation with project specifications
• Analyze blueprints and construction plans to identify surveying requirements and site challenges
• Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment, document findings and keep organized records
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes and regulations, and perform quality control checks on survey data

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience in land surveying for building construction projects
• Diploma or degree in Land Surveying
• Organizational skills and efficiency in managing complex surveying operations

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Trimble and Leica surveying software
• Advanced knowledge of GPS/GNSS technology and total station operations
