Lead Backend Engineer Trading Risk

About the role

Bybit is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend systems for Trading Risk. You will own end‑to‑end projects, ensuring reliability, performance, and data consistency in a fast‑moving, global fintech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services for risk monitoring, alerting, data services, and risk platform capabilities.
• Build and optimise real‑time data processing pipelines with a focus on reliability, performance, observability, and data consistency.
• Own projects from technical design through integration, rollout, and production troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with Risk, Data Platform, and other engineering teams on cross‑functional initiatives.
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement of engineering quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong backend engineering fundamentals and solid understanding of distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Go, or strong experience in C++/Java with willingness to work primarily in Go.
• Hands‑on experience with Kafka, databases, caching, concurrency, and data consistency.
• Strong problem‑solving, system design, project ownership, and production troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
