Lead Process Design Engineer

About the role

The Lead Process Design Engineer will be the technical authority for the Instrument Air (IA) and Plant Air (PA) system upgrade on offshore platforms, focusing on air compressor selection, sizing and integration while ensuring full compliance with ADNOC offshore process standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of IA/PA systems, including compressors, dryers, receivers, distribution headers and filtration units.
• Perform and review compressor sizing calculations, air‑demand balancing, pressure‑drop analysis and redundancy (N+1) philosophy.
• Validate air quality, moisture removal efficiency and over‑pressure protection in line with ADNOC CoPs, API and ISO standards.
• Provide Owner’s Engineer level governance, issue final technical approvals and enforce process safeguarding requirements.
• Integrate brownfield assets and coordinate multi‑disciplinary interfaces with utility and control systems.
• Support offshore commissioning, start‑up and start‑up support activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 16 years of experience in process engineering within the oil & gas sector.
• Proven track record in instrument and plant air system design and offshore projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC process standards and international compressor codes.
