Lead Process Engineer – Offshore Island Project

About the role

The Lead Process Engineer will head all process engineering activities for KBR's offshore island project, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective design and operation of offshore oil and gas processing facilities. The role spans FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning and start‑up phases and requires close coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead process engineering activities for offshore oil & gas development projects.
• Manage and review deliverables such as Process Design Basis, PFDs, P&IDs, heat & material balances, and datasheets.
• Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or UniSim and develop sizing calculations for separators, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, flare and relief systems.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, API, ASME, ISO and IEC codes throughout FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning and start‑up.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and design review workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering; Master’s degree is an advantage.
• 18‑20 years of experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or offshore EPC projects, with at least 5 years in a Lead Process Engineer role.
• Proven experience in FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning and brownfield modifications for ADNOC or similar operators.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer certification preferred.

Required skills

• Process simulation tools: Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim.
• FlareNet and PipeSim (preferred).
• Equipment sizing and hydraulic calculations for separators, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors and flare systems.
• Knowledge of ADNOC engineering standards and international codes (API, ASME, ISO, IEC).
