Lean Improvement Specialist

About the role

JINGDONG Logistics, part of JD.com, is looking for a Lean Improvement Specialist to join its team. The role drives continuous improvement across logistics, warehousing, sorting and transportation, mapping current workflows, leading Lean projects and establishing KPIs to measure their impact.

Key responsibilities

• Map current-state operational workflows and use data analysis and on-site observation to identify cost-saving and efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
• Spearhead continuous improvement projects across logistics, warehousing, sorting and transportation using standard Lean methodologies.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to evaluate the direct financial and operational impact of improvement projects.
• Create and maintain process documentation, SOPs and operational policies to sustain improvements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to implement change management and new process plans.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and adopt emerging technologies and operational solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in any discipline.
• Good spoken and written English is preferred.
• Experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, Lean production or process improvement is a plus.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Understanding of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to collect, interpret operational data and measure project results.
• Ability to plan, manage and execute improvement initiatives from start to finish.
