Learning Support Assistant (Emirati)

About the role

The Aquila School is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (Emirati) to take an active part in the day-to-day running of its busy school and help the school live up to its vision of being the school of choice for the community. The role covers student care, attendance, records and general administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Keep children safe and well cared for at all times
• Take attendance of children in the study hall and cross-check it to ensure accurate registration
• Update lists, records and contact details to keep the school database current
• Take and relay communications
• Provide general administrative and clerical support to school leadership
• Support school marketing and admissions activities
• Compile and generate ministry-required pupil records, manually or online
• Assist with school cover duties when needed
• Carry out any other tasks required by the school or the regional office

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of English
• Able to work independently, quickly and with close attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to liaise with pupils and others in and out of the school in a relaxed but professional way
• Initiative, flexibility, a positive attitude and a proactive approach

Working hours are 8am to 2pm Monday to Thursday and 8am to 12pm on Fridays. All staff must follow the school's safeguarding, health and safety, diversity and inclusion principles, and all post holders undergo vetting including criminal background checks.
