Lecturer (Fintech)

About the role

JNU Ras Al Khaimah is looking for a Lecturer in Fintech to teach undergraduate and postgraduate students about the intersection of finance and technology, covering blockchain, digital payments and AI in finance. The lecturer also develops the curriculum, ensures students understand regulatory and security aspects such as digital banking and smart contracts, and fosters industry collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Develop lectures and labs on Blockchain, Crypto and AI in Finance, and create hands-on projects for fintech solutions.
• Update teaching materials to reflect fraud detection and regulatory compliance.
• Publish research on cybersecurity measures in fintech systems and supervise projects on DeFi and fraud-resistant payment systems.
• Build relationships with startups, banks and regulatory bodies, and facilitate guest lectures, internships and industry placements.

Required profile

• Master's or Ph.D. in Fintech, Computer Science, IT or Business.
• 3-5 years of experience teaching fintech or financial services.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Ethereum and Hyperledger.
• AI/ML for finance and knowledge of data privacy laws.
• Certification such as CISSP or Certified Fintech Professional is highly desirable.
