Lift Technician

About the role

Juma Al Majid Holding Group L.L.C. is hiring a full-time Lift Technician in Dubai. The role covers both mechanical and electrical work on elevators, troubleshooting faults and carrying out testing, adjustment and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Mechanical work: template, fixing brackets, rails and rail alignment, fixing door entrances, cabin and ropes, fixing machine room equipment.
• Electrical work: wiring, adjusting shaft and car doors, load testing, fixing shaft accessories.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical problems and implement solutions.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, identify faulty components such as brakes, motors, switches, signals and control systems using test equipment.
• Use measuring and testing devices such as ammeters, voltmeters and elevator diagnostic tools.
• Perform final adjustments, testing, commissioning and site preparation up to handover.

Required profile

• Higher secondary education from an accredited school.
• Diploma in a technical electrical course or a vocational course related to elevators and escalators.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an electrical technician.
• Age 22-35.
• Intermediate speaking and writing English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical wiring diagrams and fault-finding principles.
• Use of ammeters, voltmeters and elevator diagnostic tools.
• Preferred: experience in test and commissioning.
