Manager - Construction (Onshore Island Works)

About the role

Penspen is urgently seeking an experienced Manager – Construction to lead onshore island and coastal construction activities for an offshore oil & gas project in Abu Dhabi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all onshore island/coastal construction, including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation works.
• Develop and implement construction execution strategies, establish work fronts, sequences and ensure alignment with offshore schedules.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, logistics and marine‑access works to meet safety, quality, schedule and budget targets.
• Oversee structural steel fabrication, delivery, erection and equipment, piping and mechanical package installation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) from an accredited university.
• Minimum 20 years of construction experience with at least 5‑8 years in offshore projects.
• Proven experience in onshore, coastal, island or remote‑site construction and managing large multidisciplinary teams.
• Previous experience with PMC/EPC firms; ADNOC offshore experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation construction expertise.
• Construction leadership and project execution on islands, artificial islands, remote coastal locations and marine‑access facilities.
• Management of structural steel fabrication, equipment installation, and coordination of multidisciplinary construction activities.
