Manager - Power Infrastructure

About the role

The incumbent will be accountable for the overall profitability, productivity and success of the Power Division, working closely with the Deputy Directors of the Distribution and Transmission sub-departments. The role covers operations, business development and financial performance, and calls for a strategic leader who drives growth, ensures operational excellence and manages key stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans and business plans for the Power Division, including growth in Distribution and Transmission and expansion into other GCC countries and Africa
• Lead business development: acquire new clients, expand services to existing ones, and build relationships with industry stakeholders, government bodies and partners
• Ensure efficient operations of Distribution and Transmission, oversee project planning, execution and delivery, and implement project management best practices
• Manage the P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control and collections, and drive cost-saving measures
• Establish a PMO to standardize project management, track project performance indicators and support project managers
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as the main contact for key clients
• Lead, mentor and develop the management team and keep the division adequately staffed
• Prepare regular performance reports for the CEO and senior executives
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards and environmental policies

Required profile

• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
• Minimum 20 years' experience in power infrastructure construction
• Extensive senior leadership experience in the power infrastructure construction industry with a strong industry network
• Knowledge of UAE-specific regulations and market conditions
