Manager, TA Vendor Management

About the role

EDGE, an advanced technology group headquartered in the UAE, is looking for a Manager TA Vendor Management in Abu Dhabi. The role leads the centralisation and management of about 1,600 contractors across multiple entities and establishes a unified vendor management programme supported by a single Vendor Management System (VMS) to improve supplier performance, workforce visibility, cost efficiency and governance.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a centralised operating model covering contractor sourcing, onboarding, deployment, extensions and offboarding
• Lead the evaluation and implementation of a VMS such as SAP Fieldglass, Beeline or Workday VNDLY, including integration with existing SAP systems
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, set standardised rate cards and optimise supplier performance
• Drive cost savings through supplier consolidation, competitive pricing and improved commercial agreements
• Provide consolidated visibility of contractor headcount, expenditure, tenure and compliance across EDGE entities
• Simplify contractor engagement through standardised processes, automation and agreed service levels
• Oversee the permanent recruitment agency panel and outsourced sourcing provider arrangements

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large-scale contingent workforce or MSP programmes
• Experience implementing or managing a VMS, preferably SAP Fieldglass or equivalent
• Strong supplier management, commercial negotiation and contract management experience
• Experience managing blue-collar and white-collar contractor populations
• Knowledge of UAE/GCC labour supply regulations and contractor compliance
• Ability to drive technology adoption and operational transformation across complex organisations

Preferred qualifications

• Global large-scale contingent workforce or MSP programme experience
• Ownership of a contingent workforce or managed service programme, client-side or from an RPO provider
• Responsibility for multi-million-dirham external labour spend with demonstrated cost reduction
• Negotiation and management of MSAs, rate cards and SOWs with labour suppliers
• Supplier performance management: scorecards, business reviews, corrective action, panel consolidation
