Master Technician – Used Car Preparation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Master Technician to join the Automall Used Car Preparation team in the UAE. As the workshop’s technical expert, you will diagnose and resolve complex vehicle issues, guide other technicians, and ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards on the first attempt.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose complex mechanical and technical vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
• Support junior and senior technicians with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs.
• Provide expert guidance on difficult or recurring vehicle concerns.
• Ensure repairs are completed correctly the first time, reducing repeat work and return jobs.
• Communicate technical findings and repair requirements clearly to Service Advisors, supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
• Coordinate with workshop stakeholders to support efficient repair completion.
• Recommend improvements to workshop processes, tools, and equipment.
• Identify training needs and deliver technical guidance and knowledge‑sharing.
• Continuously update technical knowledge in line with vehicle and manufacturer developments.
• Assist the Parts team with accurate identification and procurement of required spare parts.

Required profile

• Trade Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• Previous experience in a similar technical role within a reputable automotive workshop.
• Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to explain findings verbally.
• Proven ability to diagnose complex vehicle faults and support others in problem‑solving.
• Understanding of workshop quality, productivity, efficiency, and first‑time repair requirements.
• Ability to guide and support technicians of varying experience levels.
• Good planning, organizing, and follow‑up skills.
• Customer‑focused approach with a strong commitment to quality.
• Teamwork, integrity, perseverance, assertiveness, and task orientation.
• Capability to work effectively in a busy workshop while maintaining quality and productivity standards.

Required skills

• Strong vehicle diagnosis and troubleshooting capability.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a well‑reputed automotive workshop.
• Advanced knowledge of automotive mechanical and technical systems.
• Ability to analyze complex technical concerns and identify practical solutions.
