Mechanical Inspector – Static & Rotating Equipment

About the role

The Mechanical Inspector will lead inspection activities for static and rotating equipment on large projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring compliance with international codes and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate Inspection Test Plans, Quality Plans and related documentation.
• Select appropriate inspection techniques and execute inspections according to defined procedures.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports, handling non‑conformities and corrective actions.
• Monitor installation and witness pre‑commissioning and commissioning tests.
• Maintain communication with clients, project managers and internal teams.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years (Inspector/Technician), 8 years (Engineer Surveyor) or 10 years (Senior Engineer Surveyor) of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, BS).
• Completed site safety induction, sea survival course and project‑specific technical induction.
