About the role
The Midwife provides direct and indirect age‑specific care for patients in the Labour and Delivery Unit, ensuring professional performance and safe patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments, critical care evaluations, and coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary teams.
- Document all relevant data, maintain supplies, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission International standards.
- Execute nursing interventions such as amniotic fluid assessment (AmniSure), amniotomy, forceps delivery, and placenta examination.
- Participate in unit meetings, continuous quality improvement activities, and mandatory education programs.
Required profile
- Minimum two years recent postgraduate experience in a Labour and Delivery Unit.
- Valid license/registration to practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Graduates with a Bachelor’s in Midwifery or Nursing plus Midwifery certification.
