Multi‑Discipline Inspector – Oil & Gas

About the role

The Multi‑Discipline Inspector will ensure that all vendor and contractor deliverables meet the stringent quality and safety standards required for on‑shore and off‑shore oil & gas projects. This role involves reviewing documentation, conducting inspections, and coordinating with EPC contractors to verify compliance with international codes.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor/manufacturer documents, material certificates and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) against purchase orders and project specifications.
• Carry out material receiving inspections, witness welding qualification procedures, and approve welding procedures, PWHT, and NDT reports.
• Inspect pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pressurised piping, structural works and supervise hydrostatic & pneumatic testing.
• Monitor surface preparation, painting, insulation, and material preservation activities, raising NCRs and verifying corrective actions.
• Prepare concise weekly and monthly inspection reports and maintain weld/NDT logs.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in on‑shore/off‑shore oil & gas or petrochemical third‑party inspection.
• Strong knowledge of English (written and spoken) and familiarity with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS codes.
• Proven experience liaising with EPC contractors and reviewing multi‑discipline ITPs, procedures and NCRs.
