About the role

A reputed eye hospital in the UAE is looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Nurse to join its healthcare team. The role involves assisting in eye surgeries, providing pre‑ and post‑operative care, and upholding high standards of patient safety and infection control.

Key responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmic surgeons during eye surgical procedures.
• Prepare patients before surgery and provide post‑operative nursing care.
• Monitor patient conditions and ensure proper recovery support.
• Maintain operating theatre standards and follow infection control procedures.
• Prepare surgical equipment and ensure required supplies are available.
• Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.

Required profile

• Nursing qualification with relevant UAE eligibility.
• Proven experience in ophthalmic operating theatre or eye surgery.
• Experience assisting with ophthalmic surgical procedures.
• Strong knowledge of pre‑operative and post‑operative patient care.
• Good understanding of infection control practices and OT protocols.
• Excellent communication and patient‑care skills.
• Compassionate approach with strong attention to detail.
