People Operations Excellence Specialist – HR Business Partner

About the role

Tamara, a leading fintech unicorn in the GCC, is looking for a People Operations Excellence Specialist to join its People team in Dubai. In this role you will act as a strategic and tactical HR partner, helping leaders drive people and organization development aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR partnership and support for strategic and tactical initiatives, including day‑to‑day assistance and strategy execution for assigned business groups.
• Foster effective relationships with leaders and employees, offering guidance on HR and business issues at all levels.
• Coach leaders and managers to achieve business objectives within the assigned populations.
• Manage employee relations, act as a change agent, and implement best practices to improve work relationships.
• Oversee talent development and succession planning, identifying performance gaps and training needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborate with legal/compliance teams as needed.
• Implement HR best practices for performance management, compensation planning, workforce planning, and talent management.
• Identify training, coaching, and mentoring needs across departments.
• Partner with International HR, Immigration, and Payroll to deliver comprehensive HR services.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or a related field.
• Minimum 3 + years of HR Business Partner experience.
• Proven experience coaching employees and management through complex issues.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, employment law and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated client management and business acumen.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, rapidly changing environment.
• Strong organizational, multi‑tasking and prioritization abilities.
• Project management skills with a track record of making effective recommendations.
