PMC Civil Engineering Specialist – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Wood is recruiting an experienced PMC Civil Engineering Specialist for the ADNOC Offshore project in Abu Dhabi. The role is based on‑site at the client’s office and involves providing technical expertise across civil and structural design within the Oil, Gas & New Energies business.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor civil and structural engineering design with the EPC contractor, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and relevant codes.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables from consultants and contractors, maintaining design quality and integrity.
• Participate in technical workshops, layout, model and design reviews, and provide assistance during installation, pre‑commissioning and commissioning.
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams, project managers and client representatives to resolve technical issues and support project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to make independent decisions and solve complex engineering problems.

Required skills

• Civil and structural engineering design.
• Knowledge of ADNOC standards and international codes (e.g., ASME, ACI).
• Proficiency with engineering computer programs and general business software.
