PMC Construction Superintendent

About the role

Wood's Oil, Gas & New Energies is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent with an offshore background to oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities for ADNOC projects. The role ensures that works carried out by EPC contractors and subcontractors meet approved drawings, project specifications, ADNOC standards, HSE and quality requirements, and contractual obligations, and are completed safely and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction by EPC contractors and subcontractors across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation, checking compliance with approved drawings, method statements, ITPs and ADNOC standards
• Monitor contractor performance, manpower, equipment availability, productivity and work-front readiness, and verify alignment with the approved schedule
• Conduct regular site inspections and walkdowns, and coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, HSE, commissioning and operations teams
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE policies, permit-to-work, job safety analysis, risk assessments and other safety controls; intervene on imminent risks and follow up on corrective actions
• Check quality compliance with drawings, specifications and codes, monitor ITPs, punch lists, NCRs and quality documentation
• Track progress against baseline schedules, review progress reports and manpower histograms, and take part in daily, weekly and monthly meetings
• Manage contractor performance, resolve interface issues, and track RFIs, site instructions and field change requests
• Monitor availability, storage and readiness of materials, equipment and permanent plant
