About the role
The Center for Genomics and Systems Biology at NYU Abu Dhabi seeks a Postdoctoral Associate to investigate how gene expression influences the rhythms of excitability and plasticity in circadian clock neurons of rodents and fruit flies.
Key responsibilities
- Handle mice and perform behavioral experiments to measure stress and cognition.
- Measure locomotor activity in mice to determine diurnal and circadian rhythms.
- Record electrical activity in brain cells extracted from mice.
- Assess changes in gene expression in brain cells taken from mice.
Required profile
- PhD in Biology or Neuroscience.
- Experience in molecular biology, electrophysiology and animal handling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
