Pre Delivery Inspection Manager – Automotive Logistics

About the role

The Pre Delivery Inspection Manager oversees all Pre‑Delivery Inspection activities, ensuring efficient, timely, and cost‑effective processing of vehicles and accessories while guaranteeing customer satisfaction. The role involves developing strategies, improving systems, managing financials, and fostering stakeholder relationships to achieve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and implement a multibrand ASU PDI strategy focused on productivity, customer‑oriented processes and cost efficiency.
• Adopt Lean Production methodology to optimise takt time and reduce expenses.
• Drive the creation of a PDI competence centre to maximise customer satisfaction and optimise inventory levels.
• Design and implement systems and processes that enhance customer experience.
• Develop and sustain strong customer relationships through responsiveness and accountability.
• Execute end‑to‑end project plans, ensuring delivery within timelines and budget.
• Manage the department’s P&L, track key metrics and implement cost‑saving initiatives.
• Implement 5S and Kaizen initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Coach and develop talent through Individual Development Plans and succession planning.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Engineering or Automotive discipline; post‑graduate diploma in Business Management is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years experience in an automotive after‑sales environment, preferably with distributor and OEM exposure.
• Proven experience in Kaizen, project management, supply‑chain planning, distribution and analytics.
• Strong knowledge of inventory and supply‑chain management principles and Lean Production methodology.
