Principal Navigation Engineer – UAV Flight Control

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Navigation Engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of flight control and guidance systems for next‑generation UAVs and aerospace platforms. You will work within ADASI, a leading aerospace company, to ensure our aerial systems meet the highest standards of stability, performance, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate flight control and guidance systems for UAVs and aerospace platforms.
• Develop and optimise control algorithms to satisfy stability, performance, and safety requirements.
• Create dynamic system models and run simulations using MATLAB/Simulink and related tools.
• Conduct system verification through simulation, SIL/HIL, ground testing, and flight testing.
• Investigate issues, perform fault analysis, and enhance system robustness and reliability.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including avionics, software, mechanical, and systems engineering.
• Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and design artifacts in line with aerospace standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety and certification requirements while supporting continuous product improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Control, Systems Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5‑7+ years of experience in flight control, guidance, or control systems engineering within the aerospace industry.
• Proven experience developing control algorithms for UAVs, aircraft, or autonomous systems.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
